It Works Like a Two-Bit Whore Works the Streets

You wanna be successful, right?

Only jokin'

What would be the point in being here if you didn't?

We all want that.

5 things, though, that can mess that right up for you if you're not careful.

And yes, at least one of these is screwing you to the wall if you aren't getting what you want from what you're doing.

Quit Blaming:

Last time I checked; you are solely responsible for your own outcomes. Sure, sometimes someone else fucks things up for you, and you didn't see it coming, but your reaction is still the final piece that gives the situation the most, or least power.

Like, duh, right?

Quit Cutting In Line:

There really are no shortcuts. Actually, there are shortcuts, however, there's no shortcut that elevates you from being an idiot, to being super smart.

It's a process.

I watched every episode of House M.D a couple of years back. Great show. I didn't start my own practice afterwards, though.

You really do have to put the work in.

Still kinda believing that someday, maybe soon, magic will happen and you'll stumble across that ONE tactic that changes everything?

You'll be left waiting.

The shortcut, if it exists, is: Eliminate what doesn't work and just focus on what does.

Quit Complicating Things:

God put Entrepreneurs onto this fungus breeding planet, to complicate anything they become moderately successful at.

We are all hard-wired to complicate things.

It's that damn lizard brain that makes ALL of our decisions.

And like it or not, our lizard brain hates to process information. It would much rather watch cute animal videos, catch up on celebrity gossip, watch reality T.Vee shows and consume tabloid tripe.

Keep it simple.

Quit Price Shopping:

This is my biggest pet hate.

I hate that people expect a million dollar education for $7.

If all you buy are cheap products, you are, essentially, cheating yourself out of a better education.

Never forget this: Your knowledge is what you trade for your money.

If that knowledge is shit, then expect to be given a shit wage in return.

Quit Being Timid:

You are much more deserving than you can possibly believe.

Deserving of what?

Anything you want.

It's the timid Timothy's that struggle to have any impact on the world. And you know why?

Because nobody respects a timid person.

Sure, they like them because they're nice people, usually.

But respect them enough to follow them?

Not a fucking chance.

Timidity doesn't move people to do much of anything.

I'm not saying you should be an arsehole.

I am saying that if you want to have an impact, you must make an impact.

Get it?
